St. Paul's Basketball

Welcome to St Paul Ramsey CYO Basketball! We are now part of the Bergen County CYO League which is overseen by the Archdiocese of Newark. We offer competative, travel basketball for boys and girls in grades 3 thru 8 as well as boys high school teams for Freshman/Sophmores and Juniors/Seniors. Registration has begun and all registration forms are due back to the Parish Office by Oct 20th. If required, team evaluations will be held the week of Oct 22nd and team practices will begin the first week of November. Games typically start the first week of December and run thru the end of February.

Since we are under new leadership from the Diocese there has been some confusion about player eligability. Let me try to clarify. The Diocese views the ASP basketball teams and our St Paul CYO teams as being in the same league. Which we now are technically. The new rule we are to follow is a player can not play on two teams in the same league, so in the past an ASP student could play on both the School league team and a St Paul CYO team. Due to the late takeover of leadership so close to the beginning of the season it has been determined that for this one last season only, the school teams will play the same teams they played last year and the CYO teams will play the same teams they played last year with a few exceptions. So even though we will be playing completely different teams again this year, the new rule still applies.
